Mushroom Kit

1. Spread plastic or newspaper around area where the container will be to protect surfaces from sporing. Locate near a window out of any direct sunlight.
2. Place bag in shallow container. Tupperware, baking pan, or large platter are suitable. Slit bag, using a clean blade along the black line. Fold over the top of the bag to reduce oxygen to non growth area.
3. Add water to the container for humidity, keeping water level below slit so no water enters bag through the slit. Mushrooms should emerge in about a week. Sporing is a sign your mushrooms are ready to pick.
4. After harvesting to encourage second growth, tape over original slit make a new slit where mushrooms are starting and mist substrate lightly with water.
